No Christmas Dinner this year....Other Elf Mischief instead xo :)

Hi there Mighty Elves & Guests of our Christmas Spirit Community Dinner!! After 26 years, we are switching sleigh gears! We are up to other Elfish Activities and therefore we will not be serving our sit down Dinner this year (which would have been on Boxing Day due to church requirements on Sunday 25th).

It has been such a pleasure and utmost privilege sharing the Christmas Dinner with you for the past 25 years. Several of us have spent, days, months and years together creating this sacred event for you and for us, for your family and for ours. I know it has been a favourite event for so many and I am so grateful for our time together and feel pride in what we have accomplished as an Elf Team. Whether you have been a volunteer, guest, sponsor or contributor you have not only shaped my life and that of my children, you have become my Christmas family. I will sincerely miss you this year. xoxoxoxo.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Victoria for your love, for your generosity and for your willingness to breathe life into an event that has made such a powerful difference. Literally thousands of guests and Mighty Elves received a warm beautiful meal in a loving festive space over the years because of you. Children of all ages received amazing gifts because of you. Community felt loved because of you.....(Big fat tears......)

Thank you! :) Although, I am putting the Dinner on hold this year, Christmas Spirit is in my bones ~ My Elfish Self is in the works with other ideas and Elf Giving Mischief. Santa Update:

Guests ~ both our hot turkey feast sittings at noon and 3pm are full at this time. Please feel free to join us at our BBQ from 11am - 5:30pm where we serve delicious hot chocolate, coffee, treats and the best bratwurst in town.
No registration required!

Volunteers/ Mighty Elves  ~ we do have enough volunteers for The Big Day (25th). If you want to be on our contact list for next year please email us at xmasdins@telus.net. You will receive this year's emails but then they will trickle off after this weekend. We start again in September 2016.

Secret Santas ($40)  / Baking Superstars / Secret Santa Sock stuffers ~ we still need all of the above. Want to sponsor a Christmas Dinner family of 8? $175. What a wonderful gift to give. All cash donations receive a tax receipt.

Final Volunteer Meeting

Twelve Days of Christmas
This year the Raymond James Victoria branch is very pleased to be supporting two vital local area charities, the Christmas Spirit Community Dinner and the Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island's Bear Essentials program. And this year we are thrilled that Raymond James Ltd. and the Raymond James Canada Foundation are teaming up to match the first $15,000 in donations!

Christmas Spirit Community Dinner

"Financial support allows us the freedom to purchase anything and everything we need to buy that is not donated. Those donated items and services can vary greatly each year; this year in particular we have had no produce or food supplier step up other than with smaller gift certificates, therefore the majority of funds raised this year will be purchasing food for our 700+ guests who would normally go without. We also ensure that we have extra gifts on hand for children who may show up at the BBQ (but Santa’s Mighty Elves we will be ready!) as well as everything from decorations to vehicle rentals to child’s crafts to stationary to all the extra baking we may need to purchase as well as making sure we have our 500 Secret Santa Socks stuffed with treats for all the adults. Thank you for making our 25th Annual Christmas Spirit Community Dinner a reality. We very literally could not do what we do without you. For that, we are forever grateful. Seven hundred children from 1-92 will have smiles from ear to ear because of you."
